BCRPA, with the support of the Government of Canada, and in collaboration with the BC Seniors Games Society (BCSGS), is once again pleased to offer grants of $500 – $2,500 to local communities to host “Give it a Try!” events.

While this year’s events may look and feel a little different due to new COVID-19 safety policies and procedures, there are still many activities that can be sampled in a safe and fun way.

“Give it a Try!” is a one-day event that provides anyone over the age of 55 an opportunity to try a sport at the local community centre that is offered in the 55+ BC Games. It is an opportunity for members of the community to come together through sport to learn more about the 55+ BC Games and the services and programs at their local community centre in a fun and social environment.

The grants will be jointly awarded to a local community centre and their BC Seniors Games Society zone. For more information, click here.
