“My dad (Ronald Huckerby) has participated in the track & field events since the 55+ BC Games were first began in Vernon, BC (1988)….he is now 92 years old.  He will be 93 years old in February and is planning on attending the Games in 2022 to compete in track & field.  His motto is “I will run in the 100 meter when I’m 100 years old.”   – Tracey Huckerby

Tracey competed in the 2018 and 2019 55+ BC Games with her father and for the 2022 Games, Tracey’s brother will join the duo for his first time competing in the Games.  In the 2022 55+ BC Games, Tracey will be competing in swimming, while her brother, Rodger Huckerby, will be competing in track & field after turning 55 this year.

Ronald competes in Zone 3 – Fraser Valley and has won well over 70 medals during his many years of competition.  Thank you for sharing your story and for inspiring others by living an active lifestyle!

Good luck to Ronald, Tracey and Rodger and all participants at the Greater Victoria 2022 55+ BC Games this September!
