Valerie Linton
Wayne Naka, President of the BC Seniors Games Society (dba 55+ BC Games) is pleased to announce the hiring of Valerie Linton as the Executive Director for the Society.
Valerie’s duties will include participating in the Transfer of Knowledge process to assist our Society with the takeover of Event Management duties from the BC Games following the Vernon & Area 2017 55+ BC Games. She will be dealing with all the Provincial Sports Organizations in British Columbia and arranging for suitable Memorandums of Understanding relative to the operations of the 55+ BC Games, in particular with regards to Squash and Dragon Boat Racing.
Valerie is developing a draft plan for a succession planning process, and is exploring ways that we may increase the profile of our Zone events and programs through BC Parks and Recreation Departments.
Valerie is charged with looking at and reviewing grant sites that are upcoming in the near future that might be applicable for our programs, and is attempting to implement an Economic Impact Study for the Vernon & Areas 2017 55+ BC Games.
