Cycling in the 55+ BC Games is a three day competition featuring three individual events.  Participants can enter recreational or competitive divisions and can enter one, two, or all three events.  The first day offers a 16 km time trial ride on a flat course; the second day offers a road race (distance dependent on age category); and the third day offers a 2-3 km hill climb with grades of 6% to 9% depending on local conditions.

QUALIFYING – Each zone may send an unlimited number of participants in each age category and in each event.  Playdowns are not required.

SPORT FEE – $50 per person

REGISTRATION FEE – $85 per person (+ annual membership fee $20)

REGISTRATION DEADLINE – June 30

DAYS OF COMPETITION – Wednesday, Sept 11 – road race; Thursday, Sept 12 – time trial; Friday, Sept 13 – hill climb – detailed schedule will be published closer to the Games (NOTE – road race and time trial switched days as of June 18)

Course will go clockwise; 4 loops for men 80+ and women 70+; 5 loops for men 70-74, 75-79 and women 55-59, 60-64, 65-69; 6 loops for men 55-59, 60-64, 65-69
