Triathlon in the 55+ BC Games features 2 events; a sprint triathlon on Wednesday and  community choice event on Friday

For the 2024 Games:

• Sprint triathlon (Wednesday) – 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
• Duathlon (Friday) – EVENT CANCELLED

VENUE (sprint triathlon) – Old Town Bay Marina
200 Old Town Rd, Sicamous, BC

Swim portion of event will be in Shuswap Lake; timing system will be used to ensure accuracy of race times

WETSUITS – The race official will approve the use of wetsuits depending on water temperature at the time of the race.  Temperature must be below 22 degrees C if 55-59 and participants 60+ will have an upper limit of 24.6 degrees C.

QUALIFYING – Each zone may send an unlimited number of participants in each age category and in each event.  No qualifications are required.

SPORT FEE – $50 per person

REGISTRATION FEE – $85 per person (+ annual membership fee $20)

REGISTRATION OPENS – March 1

REGISTRATION DEADLINE – June 30

DAYS OF COMPETITION – Wednesday, September 11 – detailed schedule will be published closer to the Games
